This year, which marks Beethoven's 250^th birthday, was supposed to be a year of celebration of his music. The events of the past few months prevented us from holding the last four Beethoven concerts of the Academy's concert series, but technology is coming to our aid. On June 3^rd, 10^th and 17^th we will perform virtual concerts from the academy's hall, which will be broadcast live on the internet. Of Beethoven's works we will hear the 3^rd cello sonata, the “Ghost” and “Archduke” piano trios and the septet op. 20.

The project is a pioneering partnership between SHEKEL-Inclusion for People with Disabilities and the Jerusalem Academy, supported by Perach, a student tutorial project, and the US Embassy’s American Center in Jerusalem.

According to the will of Dr. Tzipora Jochsberger Z"L, the prize will be awarded to encourage the creativity in Jewish Art Music.

The prize will be 8000$ (US).

The European Union's fund Ersamus+ has awarded a grant (KA107: Mobility for Higher Education Staff between Programme and Partner Countries), for a research project that focuses on the opportunities to implement Veronika Cohen’s Musical Mirrors Method in primary schools in Poland.

The pilot project was carried out by the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance (head of the project: prof. Veronika Cohen), the Academy of Music in Gdansk (coordinator: Gabriela Karin Konkol, PhD) and the Academy of Music in Cracow (coordinator: Anna Kalarus, PhD) in 2018.
