The Strings Division
The Symphony Orchestra of the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance encompasses all students in the Academy’s orchestral instruments Department, and it performs major works taken from the symphonic music repertoire.

Israel Festival - Jamd concerts & performances
All concerts will take place in the Jerusalem theatre
Into the Woods / Musical (14:00, 17:00, Rebecca Crown Auditorium) - Director: Julia Pevzner, Musical Director and conductor: Nir Cohen.
A cast of fairytale characters including Rapunzel, Little Red Riding Hood, Cinderella, and other characters, embark on a journey into the forest. Their stories intertwine as they each embark on a journey to find something and then return home safely. The performance will include music by Stephen Sondheim.

The violinist and violin teacher, Avy Abramovich Head of the Chamber Music Program,invites young violinists (up to the age of 24) to participate in the Uno competition.

Young musicians from Israel and Germany, Weimar and Jerusalem, students of the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance and The Liszt School of Music Weimar, along with students from their associated high schools for highly talented young musicians, meet each other. They play together in one orchestra. They rehearse, give concerts,discuss and celebrate together.
