JAMD Opens New Organ Performance Program

The Performing Arts and Composition Faculty at the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance is glad to announce the opening of a class for Organ performance. The teacher that was selected is Ms. Julia Shmelkina, a graduate of the Moscow State Conservatory named after Tchaikovsky (organ performance and musicology). She will join the Jerusalem Academy faculty in the 2025-26 academic year. Shmelkina has twenty-years experience in organ teaching and performing, and is a winner of international competitions.

Winners of the Competition on Behalf of the Kalmi Family Association for the Benefit of Outstanding Pianists

The jury in the final round commended the high level of the competitors. It was not easy to reach a decision, given the artistic uniqueness of each one of the competitors.

These are the results:

First Prize: Evgenii Evgrafov (class of Daria Monastyrski)

Second Prize: Anabelle Golod (class of Eitan Globerson)

Third Prize: Dani Dvorkin (class of Ron Regev)

Congratulations to JAMD Student Yuval Avital for Winning Prizes in International Piano Competitions

Yuval Avital, from Daria Monastyrsky's class, won two competitions:

A. First place in the 11th International Piano Competition Citta di San Dona di Piave.

B. Audience Favorite Award and Finalist of the Arcangelo Speranza Competition.
