Alejandra Rojas was born in Caracas, and educated in “El Sistema”, Venezuela’s famous musical, education and social programme. She was soon a member of the Teresa Carreño Youth Orchestra and collaborator with the Simon Bolivar Youth Orchestra. After graduation, Alejandra continued her study with Stefano Canuti at the British Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester being awarded with the International Artist Diploma (IAD) in 2014 and the Advance Postgraduate Diploma (PGDIPAS) In 2015. As a soloist she has performed with Manchester Camerata, Musica Vitae Chamber Orchestra, Wirral Symphony Orchestra and the RNCM Chamber Orchestra. As an orchestra player she has been involved with the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra, the Scottish Chamber Orchestra and is performing with the Mahler Chamber Orchestra on a regular basis.
