Gili Rinot was born in Rehovot ,Israel and studied the clarinet at the Mehta- Buchmann School of Music while earning degrees in musicology and psychology at Tel Aviv University. She continued her education at the Royal Conservatory of Music in the Hague, graduating with a Master of Music degree in Historical Clarinet Performance. Gili Rinot plays and records with prominent period instruments orchestras such as Das Kleine Konzert ,L'Orfeo Barockorchester, Concerto Köln, Nederlandse Bachvereniging, Wiener Akademie, Capella Weilburgensis, Das Neue Orchester, The Swiss Consort, Europa Galante and Musica Angelica.

In high demand as a chamber musician, her affiliations include Trio Eroica, the only ensemble to win both the First Prize with Distinction and the Belgian Radio 3 Special Prize at the Brugge Musica Antiqua Competition. She has also performed with Ensemble Schönbrunn, Zefiro, 'Harmonie Bohemienne, Harmonie Quintett and the Palmira Trio.

Hailed as 'an exceptional player' by “The Early Music Review”, Gili Rinot has recorded the Mozart Clarinet Concerto for Profil/Naxos and her rendition of the chalumeau concertos by Fasch and Graupner with the Accademia Daniel can be heard on the CPO and HR labels. As a researcher, she is committed to presenting lesser-known repertoire and has recently edited and performed several rediscovered 18th and 19th century works. A teacher of the modern and early clarinet, Ms. Rinot has conducted master classes for historical clarinets in Germany, Spain, Israel and Brazil.
