PROFESSOR DR. HELEN GEYER - Professor of Musicology, Late Renaissance/Baroque/Classical Era, Head of the Research Project "Cherubini-Edition". Studied musicology, piano (Konservatorium/Hochschule für Musik Würzburg), catholic theology, Christian achaeology, and German at the Bavarian Juli .Maximilians-Universität Würzburg; completion of doctoral degree 1982; scholarships with the DAAD, the graduate funding body, and the DSZV. After teaching and research appointments in Venice, Palermo, Poznan, Turku, Regensburg, Vienna,Urbana-Champaign. She became a full professor of Musicology at the University Weimar-Iena - Liszt Music Academy. Prof. Geyer is the President of the International Cherubini Society.
