Teaching Areas: 

Vered Aviv works at the meeting point between art and science. She completed her doctorate in the field of Neuroscience at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and National Institutes of Health Maryland USA, after studying BSc.in Biology and MSc. in Neurophysiology. Her research topics were focused on the communication process within nerve cells. Her post doctorate research at the Physiology Department at the Hadassah Medical School of Jerusalem was devoted to study the effect of calcium ions on nerve cells.

 Vered's current research topics includes Neuroesthetics and body perception
 
Her studies within the Arts includes dance at the Dance Department of Maryland University USA, and movement with professor Amos Hets. She studied drawing and painting with the painter Josef Hirsch.
Vered Aviv has been a faculty member at Jerusalem academy of Music and Dance from 1993 onward.
 Aviv's teaching topics includes courses on human brain and senses, human anatomy, kinesiology and neuroesthetics
Vered  Aviv is an active artist and her works had works presented in various solo as well as group exhibitions, in Israel and abroad.
