Submitted by admin on Wed, 02/29/2012 - 15:02
On Wednesday February 29th, the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance had the privilege of a royal visit. His Majesty George Tupou, King of Tonga (an island group close to New Zealand) arrived at the JAMD on an official visit, following a meeting with Mr. Reuven Rivlin, Speaker of the Knesset.

King Tupou was visiting the Academy in order to examine the possibility of receiving advice and guidance regarding the establishing of a higher school for the study of western music which he is interested to found in his country. In addition, his intention was to examine the possibility of JAMD graduates going to Tonga to teach there.
