Lectures and Concerts by Guests from the Franz Liszt Music Academy in Budapest

The Jerusalem Academy for Music and Dance is honored to welcome pianists Prof. György Nádor and Gergely Kovács, and musicologist

Prof. Pál Richter - all from the Franz Liszt Music Academy in Budapest. The visit, sponsored by the Hungarian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade,

adds another layer to the fruitful collaboration between the two academies.

As part of the visit, the guests will present lectures and concerts that will focus on Hungarian music and the music of

Béla Bartók - one of the greatest composers of the 20th century.

 

Two events will be open to the public:

20.11.16, 5:30pm:

A lecture by Prof. Nádor and Prof. Richter on the piano music of Bartók. This lecture, presented as part of the Jerusalem Academy's Pianists Forum, will take place at hall 221 of the Academy, in its Givat Ram building.

Admittance is free of charge.

23.11.16, 8:00pm:

The first concert of the '16-'17 season of the Academy's concert series: "Hungarian Sonatas".

The concert will feature pianists Gergely Kovács and Ron Regev, and violinist Eyal Kless, playing the music of Bartók, Liszt and Brahms.

The concert will be presented by Prof. Nádor, Prof. Richter and Dr. Regev.
