Position in the Academy: 

Dance historian focusing on the inter-relations between dance, ideology, narrative and identity, and between dance and the other arts. Her PhD is about Rina Nikova and her Yemenite Singing Ballet: Israeli Dance between East and West. Her MA thesis is a semiotic analysis of four narrative dances by the Swedish choreographer Mats Ek. Both thesis and dissertation were written at the theater department at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem, Israel. Her publications deal with nation-building identity through theatrical dance, in time of migration, assimilation and wars of survival and independence. She teaches dance history and aesthetics at Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance and Orot College.
