International Relations

The Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance is a member of many international organizations. These include the European Association of Conservatoires and Schools of Music (AEC), the international network for artistic cooperation (NICA), whose members are educational institutes in the USA and Europe, and the Association of BalticAcademies of Music (ABAM).Membership in these organizations allows us to develop ties and plan joint projects, such as student and teacher exchanges, summer schools, master classes, and joint performances by the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance and leading schools in Europe.

Among the institutes with which the Academy maintains long-term ties are the High School of Music in Berlin, the Conservatoire Nationale in Paris, the Guildhall School of Music in London, the Royal Academy of Music in London, The Fryderyk Chopin University of Musicin Poland, and the academies of music in Karlsruhe and Rotterdam.

Year 3 and 4 students and master’s degree students can apply for a student exchange up to the end of the first semester break. A special committee discusses the applications and selects the most suitable candidates for student exchanges. Each year, the students chosen for the exchange program spend at least one semester at one of the academies of music or dance in Europe. Academy students also take part in international orchestra and choir projects in Europe.
